Why do you always answer questions with counter-questions? – Why not?

“This recording was done in a single take. Nothing in it has been edited or cut. I can’t imagine the piece any other way, nor would it feel honest. Either you subject yourself to this ordeal, or you don’t do it at all.

This naturally results in background noises like breathing, groaning, or even the occasional helicopter: everything becomes part of the performance, nothing is smoothed over. It just occurred to me: this makes it my first, and somehow very special, solo live recording. Wonderful!”
